Job summary

Venture Community Services in Webster, MA is seeking a Shift Supervisor for a full-time, 40-hour weekly schedule in an adult residential setting. The role focuses on supervising residents' daily activities and fostering independence, with opportunities for leadership and meaningful work.

Pay ranges $19.00–$20.50 per hour with paid training. A $1000 sign-on bonus for full-time employees and a $500 bonus for part-time staff are offered.

Qualifications

• Preferred or one year of experience in human services.
• MAP certification must be maintained; obtain MAP within 3 months of hire.
• 21+ with high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and daily car use recommended.

Responsibilities

• Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs), behavior plans and assessments to meet individual needs and goals.
• Lead and supervise Direct Support Professionals during shifts with clear communication and scheduled plans.
• Document ISP programs and behavior data sheets accurately.
• Ensure medications are delivered and documented.
• Coordinate recreation and DROs/DRLs as directed.
• Maintain the cleaning schedule and ensure tasks are completed thoroughly.
• Support community involvement, employment opportunities, and recreational activities for resident engagement.
• Communicate with families, guardians, and external agencies per Residential House Manager directives.
• Assist with resident accounts and house budgets as directed by the Residential House Manager.
• Attend annual and semi-annual reviews as assigned.
• Ensure DDS mission and safety standards are met.
• Perform safety checks, assist with fire drills and proper risk management.
• Oversee meal preparation, shopping, and daily living activities for residents.
• Maintain progress records and daily staff reports.
• Assist with household maintenance and vehicle upkeep to ensure a safe living environment.
• Lead planning of individual leisure activities and ensure access to recreation.
• Serve as shift lead, reporting updates to administration when the Residential House Manager is away.
• Maintain First Aid, CPR, MAP & PABC certifications and role-specific training.
