Job summary

ARCXIS, headquartered in Houston, TX, is seeking a Foundation Designer to join our residential design team. The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD and knowledgeable with post-tension and conventional slab design, with proven foundation design experience in the residential sector.

You will prepare foundation plans, read blueprints, and collaborate with survey and geotechnical teams. US work authorization is required; willingness to work long days and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years foundation design experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Able to read and interpret residential blueprints.
• Familiarity with PTI slab analysis software.
• Concrete experience outside Texas is a plus.
• Familiarity with survey plans, plot plans and geotechnical reports.
• Familiarity with building codes is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic algebra and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural foundation plans for residential structures using architectural drawings with limited supervision.
• Read and interpret residential architectural blueprints.
• Utilize PTI slab analysis software for design checks.
• Collaborate with survey plans and geotechnical reports to ensure compliance.
• Willingness to work long days and weekends as required.
