Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin’s University Housing and Dining is seeking a Maintenance Worker II to perform a range of maintenance tasks across multiple crafts on the UT Austin campus. The role requires completing work orders, assisting electricians, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry teams, and maintaining inventory while providing strong customer service to residents.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of relevant maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• Two years of experience in performing installation, operation, construction, maintenance, and/or repair work.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks from work orders provided by supervisor or crew leader; communicate with supervisor, staff, and student residents regarding repairs and status.
• Assist trades with preventative maintenance and inventory management.
• Assist electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, carpenters in repairs and installations.
• Submit paperwork timely and manage supplies; on-call rotations and emergencies as needed.
