Job summary

Sierra Air Conditioning, Heating & Plumbing seeks a Residential Electrical Service Technician in the Las Vegas area to diagnose, repair, and upgrade household electrical systems while delivering an exceptional homeowner experience. You will combine strong electrical troubleshooting with clear, homeowner-friendly explanations, present options, and perform work to code.

Qualifications

• Residential electrical service experience strongly preferred.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic ability.
• Knowledge of residential electrical systems and applicable electrical codes.
• Ability to safely troubleshoot and repair circuits, panels, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting, GFCI/AFCI devices and related residential electrical components.
• Experience with service upgrades, dedicated circuits, EV chargers, surge protection, generators or similar residential electrical work is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable presenting repair and replacement options to homeowners.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to complete applicable pre-employment requirements.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of residential electrical service work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose residential electrical issues accurately and efficiently
• Perform electrical repairs and replacements safely and professionally
• Conduct electrical system and safety inspections
• Identify electrical hazards, code concerns, and opportunities for system improvements
• Present homeowners with clear repair and replacement options
• Explain recommendations in a way customers can easily understand
• Complete work according to applicable electrical codes, manufacturer requirements, permitting requirements, and Sierra standards
• Maintain accurate job documentation, photos, notes, and customer records
• Keep your service vehicle, tools, and equipment organized
• Protect customers' homes and maintain a clean work environment
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, customer service, and performance training
