Sierra Air Conditioning, Heating & Plumbing seeks a Residential Electrical Service Technician in the Las Vegas area to diagnose, repair, and upgrade household electrical systems while delivering an exceptional homeowner experience. Sierra Air Conditioning, Heating & Plumbing is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Residential Electrical Service Technician who knows how to troubleshoot, communicate with homeowners, and deliver a five-star service experience.
This isn't just about fixing electrical problems. We're looking for someone who can walk into a customer's home, diagnose the issue correctly, explain solutions clearly, provide options, and help the homeowner make an informed decision.
You'll begin with a paid training and orientation period designed to teach you Sierra's service process, customer experience standards, systems, and expectations. After successfully completing training and demonstrating required competencies, you'll transition into our performance-based compensation structure, giving you the opportunity to increase your earnings based on performance.
This role can lead to opportunities such as:
As a Residential Electrical Service Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and improving residential electrical systems while delivering an exceptional homeowner experience.
You'll combine technical expertise with strong communication and customer service skills.
You'll be expected to:
We're looking for more than someone who can turn a wrench and pull wire.
The strongest Sierra technicians are technically capable, confident communicators, process-driven, coachable, accountable, and motivated to perform.
You should be comfortable entering customers' homes, asking questions, diagnosing concerns, explaining what you find, presenting solutions, and building trust.
Because this position performs electrical work in the Las Vegas/Clark County market, candidates must possess any individual electrical certification or journeyman credential required by the applicable local authority having jurisdiction for the work they will perform, or meet the applicable requirements to work under Sierra's licensed electrical contractor and qualified supervision.
For work requiring journeyman-level qualification or supervision, Sierra will verify that the candidate holds a current Journeyman Electrician certification/credential accepted by the applicable building authority before assigning work that requires that qualification.
Candidates should provide copies of applicable electrical licenses, certifications, apprenticeship credentials, or journeyman documentation during the hiring process.
Sierra maintains the appropriate contractor licensing required for the electrical services it performs. Employees are expected to work within the scope permitted by Sierra's contractor license, their individual qualifications, and applicable state and local requirements.
You'll likely thrive at Sierra if you're:
Technical — You know how to diagnose instead of simply replacing parts.
Personable — You're comfortable talking with homeowners and building trust.
Driven — You want your performance to influence your earning potential.
Coachable — You're willing to follow a proven process and continue improving.
Accountable — You own your calls, workmanship, documentation, and results.
Professional — You understand that you're representing Sierra every time you walk into a customer's home.
Hungry to Grow — You don't want to stay at the same skill or income level forever.
Sierra is continuing to grow our residential electrical services, which means we're looking for technicians who want more than another service truck.
We're looking for people who want to help build a department, develop their skills, increase their earning potential, and create a long-term career.
If you're an experienced residential electrician who takes pride in your work, communicates well with homeowners, and wants an opportunity where performance matters, we want to meet you.
