Chapman Bros in Cranford, NJ is seeking an Electrician - Service Technician (Residential) to join a growing team. You will diagnose, repair, install and maintain residential electrical systems, working with certified technicians to deliver safe, quality service for our customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a residential electrician or similar role.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing residential electrical systems including wiring, lighting, breakers, and transformers.
• Experience with Service Titan or similar service software is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to customers clearly.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in accordance with codes and regulations.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting electrical issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose & Repair Electrical Systems – Inspect and troubleshoot residential systems and guide customers to informed decisions.
• Install & Maintain Electrical Systems – Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting in homes.
• Electrical Maintenance – Read diagrams/blueprints to ensure proper operation and preventive maintenance.
• Inspect & Replace Equipment – Identify faulty equipment, wiring, and fixtures and replace as needed.
• Circuit Breaker & Transformer Maintenance – Perform corrective maintenance on breakers and transformers.
• Compliance with Codes & Regulations – Ensure work follows national codes and local regulations.
• Service Software Documentation – Use Service Titan to track repairs and document work.
• Customer Engagement – Inform customers about issues, solutions, and outcomes; suggest products/services.
• Flexibility – Availability Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday shifts.
