Job summary

IES Residential is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead - Single Family to oversee residential electrical operations in the South Atlanta area. You will lead field crews, plan daily activities, and ensure work meets NEC and local codes while delivering highest quality and customer service.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of residential electrical experience, leadership background, and a valid Georgia driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (or equivalent).
• Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent field experience preferred.
• 3+ years of residential electrical experience, including single-family new construction.
• Previous leadership experience as a Leadman, Crew Leader, Foreman, or similar role preferred.
• Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record; valid Georgia electrical license preferred (if applicable).
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and residential electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, and electrical schematics.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct residential electrical crews on single-family construction projects.
• Assist with daily planning, scheduling, and coordination of manpower and jobsite activities.
• Ensure all electrical installations meet NEC requirements, local codes, and company standards.
• Serve as field liaison between electricians, builders, and project management teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve field electrical installation issues; enforce safety policies.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings; participate in safety programs.
• Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment; manage inventory and tracking.
• Train and mentor apprentice and journeyman electricians.
• Maintain accurate job documentation and progress reports; support continuous improvement.
