Job summary

Mister Sparky in Melbourne, FL is seeking a skilled Residential Electrical Installer for a year-round, full-time position with strong earning potential and extensive benefits. You will perform high-quality electrical installs, replacements, and upgrades inside customers' homes, ensuring safety and professionalism throughout the job.

You will work safely, efficiently, and independently, communicating clearly with homeowners, and using ServiceTitan or similar software.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential electrical installation experience.
• Knowledge of electrical panels, circuits, wiring, and safety standards.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, installation instructions, and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Complete residential electrical installations from start to finish.
• Install and replace electrical panels, circuits, wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, and EV chargers.
• Complete electrical system upgrades and replacements.
• Read and interpret work orders, installation plans, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Ensure completed installations operate safely and correctly before leaving.
• Complete work according to applicable electrical codes, manufacturer specifications, safety requirements, and company standards.

What You’ll Do

As a Residential Electrical Installer, you'll complete residential electrical installations, replacements, and upgrades while ensuring every job meets quality, safety, electrical code, and company standards.

You will:

• Complete residential electrical installations from start to finish
• Install and replace electrical panels, circuits, wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, surge protection, EV chargers, generators, and other residential electrical equipment
• Complete electrical system upgrades and replacements
• Read and interpret work orders, installation plans, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Properly size, install, connect, and test electrical components and equipmentIdentify and troubleshoot installation-related electrical issues
• Ensure completed installations operate safely and correctly before completing the job
• Complete work according to applicable electrical codes, manufacturer specifications, safety requirements, and company standards
• Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation
• Explain completed work and basic equipment or system operation to customers
• Answer homeowner questions professionally and confidently
• Protect customers' homes and property while performing installations
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites
• Work efficiently while maintaining high standards for workmanship and safety
• Complete accurate documentation using ServiceTitan or similar software
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials
• Collaborate with other electricians, Install Assistants, Service Electricians, and team members as needed
• Represent the Mister Sparky brand with professionalism, honesty, integrity, and pride

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of residential electrical installation experience
• Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems and installation methods
• Experience installing and replacing electrical panels, circuits, wiring, fixtures, and other residential electrical equipment
• Ability to complete residential electrical installations independently
• Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes and safety requirements
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, installation instructions, technical documentation, and work orders
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
