Job summary

Mister Sparky in the United States is seeking motivated Electrical Apprentices to learn hands-on skills and build a long-term career in residential electrical service.

You don’t need prior experience; you’ll receive hands-on training, work with experienced electricians, and have opportunities for advancement within the Mister Sparky organization.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with residential electrical service calls, repairs, maintenance, and installations.
• Learn wiring, circuits, panels, lighting, outlets, and other components.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues safely.
• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and testing equipment properly.
• Prepare tools and materials for service work and documentation with ServiceTitan or similar software.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and protect customers' homes during work.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and explain findings clearly.

What You’ll Do

As an Electrical Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced electrical professionals while learning the fundamentals of residential electrical service, repair, and installation.

You will:

• Assist with residential electrical service calls, repairs, maintenance, and installations
• Learn the basics of residential electrical systems, wiring, circuits, panels, lighting, outlets, switches, and other components
• Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues
• Learn how to safely use electrical hand tools, power tools, meters, and testing equipment
• Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for service and installation work
• Learn proper electrical repair and installation procedures
• Follow applicable safety requirements, company procedures, and electrical codes
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• Protect customers’ homes and property while performing work
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners
• Learn how to explain electrical findings and solutions to customers
• Assist with accurate job documentation using ServiceTitan or similar software
• Maintain tools, materials, equipment, and company vehicles
• Apply coaching and feedback as you develop your skills
• Represent Mister Sparky with professionalism, reliability, integrity, and pride

Previous experience in construction, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, automotive repair, mechanical work, or another hands‑on trade is a plus, but not required.
