Job summary

Kuhlman Electric is seeking a Residential Electrical Service Technician Apprentice to develop skills in troubleshooting, repairs, and installations under supervision. The role focuses on customer communication, safety, and hands-on training to prepare for a Lead Service Technician Level I position.

Through mentorship, you will learn to scope work, estimate materials and labor, schedule and organize service visits, and progress toward licensing requirements for escalation to lead technician roles.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade school or apprenticeship completion preferred.
• Strong customer service focus and safety mindset.
• Willingness to learn residential troubleshooting, repairs, and installs.

Responsibilities

• Support residential troubleshooting, diagnostic repairs, and new installations under supervision.
• Develop skills to prepare scopes of work, material lists, labor projections, and estimates.
• Organize appointments, prep materials, and support same-day completions.
• Refer larger projects to the office for scheduling with install teams.
