Job summary

The Arc of Anchorage is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a Residential Extended Shift role in Anchorage, Alaska. This full-time position provides person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community settings, focusing on dignity, independence, choice, and meaningful relationships.

The role features four 12-hour shifts per week (48 hours), with varied hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in developing and implementing the individual's service plan.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks based on preferences and health needs.
• Transport the individual to activities and coordinate transportation.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow agency policies and procedures.
• Ensure a safe environment and respond to emergencies.
