Republic Services is seeking a Driver with a Class B CDL to safely operate a collection truck and deliver prompt waste removal services in the Houston area. You will perform vehicle inspections, comply with all safety regulations, and maintain productive routes while providing excellent customer service.

The role requires adherence to company policies, completion of daily reports, and active participation in safety programs.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement required.
• Clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to operate heavy trucks safely and follow route instructions.

Responsabilités

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure safety and vehicle readiness.
• Safely operate the collection truck on assigned routes and service customers as scheduled.
• Load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of materials at designated facilities.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers on a daily basis.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag as required.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain cleanliness around the vehicle.
• Complete route productivity sheets and Vehicle Condition Reports (VCRs).
• Adhere to safety policies and Company procedures; participate in ReSOP program.

POSITION SUMMARY: A Driver- CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, and providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers. In addition, a Driver – CDL (B) is responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle is in compliance with the Company’s safety standards prior to operating the vehicle, ensures that all Company, state and federal regulations are adhered to at all times while operating the vehicle, and completes vehicle condition reports (“VCRs”) on a daily basis to ensure that any vehicle defects are repaired in a timely manner.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:* Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
