Job summary

Richmark Remodeling is seeking a full-time Residential Drafting & Design Specialist to support high-end remodeling projects across the Greater Houston area. You will work closely with homeowners, designers, estimators, and Project Managers to create accurate drawings and document design decisions from concept to construction.

This in-person position requires collaboration with the design team and site visits to ensure layouts, elevations, and finish selections meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential drafting and design.
• Strong understanding of residential construction and space planning.
• Ability to read plans and take accurate field measurements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare floor plans, elevations, cabinetry layouts, and other residential drawings.
• Create existing-condition drawings from field measurements and site information.
• Develop layouts for kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-home renovations.
• Revise plans based on client feedback and project changes.
• Coordinate drawings with project scope, selections, and construction requirements.
• Assist with space planning, fixture placement, and finish coordination.
• Help identify layout or constructability issues before construction.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date project drawings.
• Attend selected client meetings and site visits.
• Create basic 3D views or renderings when helpful.

Residential Drafting & Design Specialist

Help Turn Design Ideas Into Buildable Plans

Richmark Remodeling is seeking a full-time Residential Drafting & Design Specialist to support high-end remodeling projects throughout the Greater Houston area.

You will work closely with homeowners, designers, estimators, and Project Managers to create accurate drawings, refine layouts, document design decisions, and help move projects from concept into construction.

This is an in-person position with occasional travel to residential project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare floor plans, elevations, cabinetry layouts, and other residential drawings
• Create existing-condition drawings from field measurements and site information
• Develop layouts for kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-home renovations
• Revise plans based on client feedback and project changes
• Coordinate drawings with project scope, selections, and construction requirements
• Assist with space planning, fixture placement, and finish coordination
• Help identify layout or constructability issues before construction
• Maintain organized and up-to-date project drawings
• Attend selected client meetings and site visits
• Create basic 3D views or renderings when helpful

Qualifications

• Experience in residential drafting, architectural design, interior design, or a related field
• Residential remodeling or custom home experience preferred
• Strong understanding of residential construction and space planning
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Chief Architect, SketchUp, or similar software
• Ability to read plans and take accurate field measurements
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage multiple projects and revisions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Candidates should be prepared to provide a portfolio or samples of residential drafting and design work.
