Job summary

IGHL Inc in Yaphank, NY is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to serve as a role model for developmentally disabled consumers. The DSP will provide hands-on assistance in daily living activities while also being responsible for housekeeping chores and supplies in the residence.

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid NYS Driver's License, and several certifications including SCIP and CPR. Candidates must also be capable of lifting 50 lbs and managing stress professionally.

Qualifications

• Must maintain SCIP and Adult CPR certification as per IGHL policy.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. at least five times per hour.
• Enthusiastic team player that handles stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication as per OPWDD AMAP certification.
• Guides, teaches and supervises during self-care routines.
• Maintains DRIVER AUTHORIZATION status for transportation.
