Job summary

Skill Creations, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in our NC facilities.

We offer full-time and part-time roles with starting pay at $17.60 per hour (back-up/PRN at $17.00) and a competitive benefits package for full-time staff. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, criminal background check, valid driver's license, CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management course work, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED from an accredited school is required.
Criminal Record Check required.
Prompt and regular attendance for assigned work schedule is expected. Includes working during inclement weather and some holidays.
A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving is required.
Course work will be required for successful completion of CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management.
Basic computer skills are needed for e-mail, electronic training modules and recording data.
Persons must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and the work occasionally requires balancing, bending, stooping and kneeling.

Responsibilities

The Direct Support Professional provides care according to the specific needs of the individuals. This includes but is not limited to assisting and educating with personal care, medication administration and independent living skills.
Direct Support Professionals also help to transport/accompany individuals to activities in the community and to local or out of town appointments.
