Job summary

Northeast Arc is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our residential home team in the Peabody/Danvers area. You will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives in their homes and community.

Responsibilities include daily living support, personal care, meal prep, community engagement, and ensuring health and safety. Requires MAP and CPR/First Aid, with a MA driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid and MAP Certification required.
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transfers, mobility support, and other physical activities.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and provide physical intervention when necessary.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to person-centered supports.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to meet individuals' clinical, social, and daily living needs.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, transferring, and other individualized support needs.
• Support meal preparation, household activities, and recreational opportunities.
• Facilitate meaningful community experiences that encourage skill development, relationship building, and independence.
• Administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations and Northeast Arc policies.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, hospital visits, and community outings as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation, including communication logs, health records, daily data collection, and safety reports.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all individuals served.
