You will oversee multidisciplinary design teams, manage technical risks, review architectural and engineering drawings, and ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, planning requirements, and statutory approvals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Technical Manager or senior technical role in UK residential housebuilding.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and technical design processes.
• Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning legislation and approvals.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
• Ability to review, interpret and coordinate architectural and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of residential development projects from planning through to completion.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
• Review and coordinate architectural and engineering drawings.
• Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, planning requirements and approvals.
• Liaise with highways, drainage and utility authorities to secure approvals.
• Monitor programmes, budgets and resources to support timely delivery.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks across projects.
• Promote quality assurance and maintain technical standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Visit development sites to provide technical support and oversight.
• Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance.
