Job summary

Compass Design Studio in Huntsville, AL seeks a part-time Intern to assist the design team with project research, concept development, mood boards, drawings, and presentation materials. Daily tasks include organizing samples, supporting project documentation, updating schedules, and maintaining studio records and client files.

You will help with vendor communication, sourcing finishes, and preparing spaces for client meetings.

Qualifications

• Foundational design knowledge in interior/architectural design, space planning, visual composition.
• Proficiency with design and office tools (Adobe CC, Canva, SketchUp, MS Office or Google Workspace).
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to documentation and scheduling.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to work with a small team and clients/vendors.
• On-site or remote work capability and hands-on studio collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist design team with project research, concept development, mood boards and presentations.

• Communicate with vendors and assist in sourcing finishes and furnishings.
