Responsibilities

  • Prepare the daily operations report, pass list, updated case notes in system, and other administrative correspondence relating to students.
  • Direct students and assist in the cleanup and maintenance of the dormitory.

Job Description

The Residential Advisor provides proper guidance to students to ensure positive group living relations and achievement in the Job Corps program.

  • Assist in unit activities, as designated, including unit government, facilitate student groups, and promote student independent living skills.
  • Patrol and monitor dormitories and center as required ensuring safety and proper behavior of students; resolve potential or occurring problems.
  • Prepare the daily operations report, pass list, updated case notes in system, and other administrative correspondence relating to students.
  • Direct students and assist in the cleanup and maintenance of the dormitory.
Schedule

Option 1: Friday – Tuesday, 3:00PM–12:00AM; Wednesdays & Thursdays off
Option 2: Saturday – Sunday, 8:00AM–5:00PM; Monday 3:00PM–12:00AM; Tuesday–Wednesday, 11:30PM–8:30AM; Thursdays & Fridays off. Overtime options are available.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with youth required; residential experience preferred but not necessary.
  • A valid in‑State Driver’s License preferred.
  • Eager to learn, highly adaptable, and a natural problem‑solver.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player.
  • Physical requirements: sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Ability to lift 40pounds and/or assess lift load to request assistance.
