Wayside Youth & Family Support Network in Massachusetts is hiring an Overnight Residential Counselor to supervise and engage with youth on evening/night shifts from 11pm to 9am, 40 hours weekly. Join a warm, team-oriented environment that emphasizes safety, learning, and positive role modelling.

You will support skill-building, participate in trainings, and ensure basic needs like meals, safety, and daily routines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with youth and families.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and certification programs.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and engage with youth/residents in activities and daily routines.
• Support skill building for youth through teamwork.
• Facilitate recreational activities and provide positive role modeling.
• Ensure safe client transportation and medication administration once MAP certified.
• Assist with basic needs: meals, safe living environment, hygiene.

Overnight Residential Counselor

Salary Range: $20.50 - $21.50/hour depending on experience + sign - on bonus (half paid after 6 months of employment and half paid after 1 year of employment/pro-rated for part-time).

This is a full-time, 40 hours/week position and our overnight shift runs from 11pm to 9am.

What You Will Do:

• Directly supervise and engage with youth/residents in activities and daily routines.
• Support skill building for all youth/residents through collaborative team work.
• Show yourself to be a willing learner in trainings and maintain necessary certifications.
• Facilitating recreational activities for clients, working with the staff team to ensure the program structure while providing positive role modeling for youth.
• Safe client transportation and medication administration once MAP certified.
• Assist the program in providing basic needs for clients, such as regular meals, a safe and clean living environment, recreational activities, and appropriate hygiene.
