Job summary

Open Sky Community Services in Massachusetts seeks a Residential Counselor to provide direct care, guidance, and skill-building support in residential and community settings.

You’ll assist with daily living activities, community participation, and personal goal attainment while promoting safety, inclusion, and self-determination for the individuals served.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record required.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

• Assist in developing individualized, person-centered service plans and help implement them.
• Provide support with daily living activities, skill development, and personal goals.
• Assist individuals with accessing transportation and community resources as needed.
• Implement activities to promote community inclusion, relationship building, personal growth, and valued social roles.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment that promotes health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
• Review, complete, and maintain all required documentation accurately and timely.

The Residential Counselor supports individuals in achieving greater independence and quality of life by providing direct care, guidance, and skill-building support within residential and community-based settings. They assist individuals with daily living activities, community participation, and personal goal attainment while ensuring a safe, healthy, and supportive environment. Residential Counselors serve as strong advocates for the people they support and promote community engagement, self-determination, and meaningful relationships.

Other Key Responsibilities

Pay Range
