Job summary

Community Resources For Justice (CRJ) invites you to join our team as a Residential Counselor in Wendell. This full-time, 40-hour/week, non-exempt role begins at $18/hour and includes benefits eligibility.

You’ll supervise and transport clients, support skill development, and model positive behavior to enhance quality of life while ensuring safety in all activities. We offer training and opportunities for advancement as part of a supportive organization dedicated to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Desire to make a genuine difference in the lives of others.
• Must pass required certifications in the allotted time set forth by the agency.
• Must pass a criminal and driver’s check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and transport clients during assigned hours, including interviews, medical appointments, recreation, religious services, and shopping trips.
• Support and teach clients new skills per their Individual Service Plan.
• Act as a positive role model to help clients attain the highest quality of life while maintaining safety.
• Administer medications and document progress notes, weekly summaries, and attendance in a timely manner.

This position is eligible for benefits and has a starting rate of $18/hr.

Schedule:

First Shift | Second Shift

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise and transport clients during assigned hours; this may include job interviews, medical appointments, weekly recreation, religious services, and shopping trips
• Support and teach clients new skills including, but not limited to, specific goals in the clients’ Individual Service Plan
• Acting as a positive role model for the client to support attaining the highest quality of life while maintaining their safety in all settings
• Administering medications and completing appropriate documentation in a timely manner, such as progress notes, weekly summaries, and attendance
