Job summary

Delta-T Group North Jersey, Inc. is partnering with a client in Bristow, VA to fill a Residential Counselor role. You will supervise residents, verify census counts, and maintain shift coverage during your scheduled hours.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or pursuing the degree with evidence, or a GED with six months’ experience working with children. It is a part-time, on-site opportunity with weekly compensation and room for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services is required OR actively pursuing and able to provide evidence.
• High School Diploma or GED with six months experience working with children; or equivalent.
• Enroll and complete the required training and Certification Program for development in the milieu of care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents.
• Confirm census counts from prior on-duty staff before taking floor responsibilities.
• Maintain shift coverage until the next shift is in position.
• Confirm status and location of assigned residents.
• Conduct room checks every 15 minutes.
• Document required forms on the daily log before ending shift.
• Perform waiv(e) testing on residents after home visits, AWOL, and as needed.
