Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid US driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain CPR and MAP certification.

Job description

Schedule: Wed. - Sat. 10a - 6p

Salary: $20.75/hr

As a Residential Counselor, you will provide direct support to people with brain injury or behavioral conditions in small group residential settings or individual living arrangements. Your role involves working collaboratively with the individuals served, their families, friends, employers, and support staff to enhance their independence and quality of life.

Your duties include administering medication according to the Medication Administration Plan (MAP), implementing treatment plans, assisting with activities of daily living such as household chores and cooking, and facilitating community connection through transportation for outings like shopping and medical appointments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in a Human Services field preferred.
  • Experience with developmental disabilities, behavioral conditions, or brain injury is strongly preferred.
  • Strong time management and writing skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid US driver's license for at least 6 months.
  • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid certification within 2 weeks, and MAP certification within 150 days of employment.
  • Successful clearance of CORI, reference checks, fingerprinting, and driving record check.
