Job summary

Open Sky Community Services is seeking a Residential Counselor to support adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders in a short-term respite setting in Central Massachusetts. You will help individuals live independently, apply evidence-based treatment, and advocate for community integration.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, ensuring safety and cleanliness, assisting with transportation, and documenting required information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record are required.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

Job Description:

Open Sky's Respite Programs are short-term group living environments that provide treatment of intermittent crisis and stabilization for adults who are diagnosed with a mental health and/or substance use disorder. The goal of the Respite program is to work collaboratively with individuals to develop skills to maintain their independence in the community and live a life that is not defined by their mental illness.

The Residential Counselor supports individuals to live as independently as possible, while providing evidence-based treatment and care, within a group living environment. Counselors act as strong advocates for individuals served and understand the importance of community integration.

Other Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing individualized, person-centered treatment plans and play a lead role in the daily implementation plans.
• Implement all procedures that ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals and general cleanliness and safety of the physical site.
• Assist individuals to access and/or provide transportation.
• Review and complete all required documentation.

The organization recognizes skills, location, training and population served in certain programs by offering an additional hourly differential. Ask your recruiter if this position qualifies for an additional hourly differential!

Pay Range:

$20.00/Hr. - $22.48/Hr.
