Plummer Youth Promise's Residential Treatment and Youth and Young Adult Group Residence Program seeks compassionate Residential Counselors to supervise residents, support treatment goals, and create a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; experience with youth is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with youth and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and guidance for residents.
• Engage youth through the CPS model and TCI.
• Support daily life skills, meals, chores, transportation, and activities.
• Document progress and communicate with the treatment team.
• Attend trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Available shifts:

• Friday through Monday 7am-3pm
• Friday through Monday 11pm-7am

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct supervision and guidance for residents
• Engage youth through the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) Model and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)
• Support daily life skills, meals, chores, transportation, and activities
• Document progress and communicate with the treatment team
• Attend trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities

What We're Looking For:

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
• Professional boundaries and sound judgment
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Bachelor's degree preferred, experience with youth a plus

Requirements:

• Valid Massachusetts driver's license and acceptable driving history
• Ability to ascend/descend stairs, bend, reach, and lift up to 75 pounds
• Visual and hearing acuity to perform essential job functions
