Job summary

Community Resources for Justice, Inc. is seeking a Residential Counselor to join our Brookfield, MA team. This part-time, 40‑hour/week, non‑exempt position offers a starting rate of $18/hr and eligibility for benefits, with first/second/third shifts available.

The role provides valuable training to launch and advance a career in human services. You'll supervise and transport clients, support skill development, model positive behavior, and document progress and attendance as part of daily

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Desire to make a genuine difference in the lives of others.
• Must pass required certifications in the allotted time set forth by the agency.
• Must pass a criminal and driver’s check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and transport clients during assigned hours; this may include job interviews, medical appointments, weekly recreation, religious services, and shopping trips.
• Support and teach clients new skills including, but not limited to, specific goals in the clients’ Individual Service Plan.
• Act as a positive role model for the client to support attaining the highest quality of life while maintaining their safety in all settings.
• Administer medications and complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner, such as progress notes, weekly summaries, and attendance.

The CJI team brings decades of experience developing evidence-based, data-driven policies, managing complex processes with diverse stakeholders, and driving systems-level organizational change. • Family Reentry (FRE): At Family Reentry, we address the often-intertwining problems of behavioral health, domestic violence, reentry, recidivism, and risks to youth by offering evidence-based interventions to provide support and effect positive change. We offer a holistic approach by working to connect clients to basic needs and offering support to create change and increase stronger coping and life skills.
