Job summary

Community Resources for Justice, Inc. is seeking a Residential Counselor to join our Brookfield, MA team. This part-time, 40‑hour/week, non‑exempt position offers a starting rate of $18/hr and eligibility for benefits, with first/second/third shifts available.

The role provides valuable training to launch and advance a career in human services. You'll supervise and transport clients, support skill development, model positive behavior, and document progress and attendance as part of daily

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Desire to make a genuine difference in the lives of others.
  • Must pass required certifications in the allotted time set forth by the agency.
  • Must pass a criminal and driver’s check.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and transport clients during assigned hours; this may include job interviews, medical appointments, weekly recreation, religious services, and shopping trips.
  • Support and teach clients new skills including, but not limited to, specific goals in the clients’ Individual Service Plan.
  • Act as a positive role model for the client to support attaining the highest quality of life while maintaining their safety in all settings.
  • Administer medications and complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner, such as progress notes, weekly summaries, and attendance.

  • Crime & Justice Institute (CJI): Driving bold, transformative improvements in adult and youth justice systems by working with local, state, and national criminal justice organizations to improve public safety and the delivery of justice. The CJI team brings decades of experience developing evidence-based, data-driven policies, managing complex processes with diverse stakeholders, and driving systems-level organizational change. Our energetic staff and network of consultants come from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Family Reentry (FRE): At Family Reentry, we address the often-intertwining problems of behavioral health, domestic violence, reentry, recidivism, and risks to youth by offering evidence-based interventions to provide support and effect positive change. We offer a holistic approach by working to connect clients to basic needs and offering support to create change and increase stronger coping and life skills.

This is a part-time, 40‑hour/week, non‑exempt position that will be working in our Brookfield, MA location. This position is eligible for benefits and has a starting rate of $18/hr.
