Residential Coordinator of Services ($68,000 - $71,000 per year)

The Residential Coordinator of Services is responsible for providing instruction and support to staff, ensuring the health and safety of persons served in their homes, workplaces, and communities. This role involves supporting, developing, and engaging the team of DDCN staff. The Coordinator reports to the Director of Residential Services.
This position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential functions:
- Lead, support, and supervise staff supporting persons served, ensuring goal implementation.
- Establish high standards of conduct and performance; lead by example.
- Build trust and partnership with employees to promote high performance and engagement.
- Assign, direct, evaluate, coach, and hold staff accountable.
- Conduct staff meetings and one-on-one employee meetings.
- Support scheduling for direct care staff to ensure support availability.
- Communicate scheduling needs and coordinate replacements as needed.
- Track and bill direct service hours accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff training.
- Maintain open communication with leadership regarding client and staff needs.
- Coordinate medical appointments and transportation for clients.
- Supervise medication management and ensure compliance with plans.
- Support staff in implementing behavioral plans.
- Document client interactions and support interventions timely and accurately.
- Provide emergency support when needed.
- Assist clients with social security, benefits, and personal finances.
- Support housing options, including advocacy and assistance with applications for assistance programs.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as per schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Person-centered planning, positive behavioral supports, and relevant statutes/regulations.
- Ability to assess needs, develop plans, evaluate data, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to build relationships with individuals, families, and team members.
- Analyze behavioral data and monitor services.
- Follow and lead by example in line with DDCN’s mission and values.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social work, sociology, human services, or related field, with experience in services for persons with disabilities.
- At least 2 years of experience in human services, preferably with adults or children with disabilities.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with habilitation, program development, assessments, and team facilitation.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Therap software.
Additional Requirements:
This is a salaried position requiring evening and weekend availability, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, including work in residential homes and the office. On-call rotation is required for trained staff.
