Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Saint Louis, MO seeks a Residential Coordinator to lead a team of Behavioral Health Technicians in a safe, structured residential setting aligned with treatment goals. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or closely related field (or equivalent).
  • High School diploma with two years of mental health/substance use treatment and at least one year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and support Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) in daily responsibilities.
  • Interview, hire, and onboard new technician staff under supervision of leadership.
  • Monitor daily client activities and ensure adherence to program rules, expectations, and safety protocols.
  • Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to staff.
  • Conduct regular observations of staff interactions and review relevant documentation.
  • Schedule staff to meet program needs and manage overtime.
  • Facilitate staff meetings, trainings, and supervisory sessions; maintain required documentation.
  • Support client orientation processes including program rules, expectations, and rights.
  • Monitor medication management practices and adherence to standards and protocols.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and provide input on client care and staff performance.
  • Track staff training requirements, including Relias compliance.
  • Complete staff evaluations and performance documentation within required timelines.
  • Promote a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
