Job summary

Elwyn in Elwyn, PA is seeking a Residential Coordinator to oversee residence operations, assign living staff and ensure client needs are met according to unit routines.

Responsibilities include staff adherence to policies, crisis intervention, CPR, documentation, and collaboration with families and supervisors. Must have CPR certification, 2+ years in intellectual disability field, and a valid PA driver's license. Weekend PRN schedule with pay rate $22 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of post-secondary education
  • Two years of experience in the field of Intellectual Disabilities
  • Must be able to perform CPR using agency protocols
  • Must have a valid driver's license with 3 years driving experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate residence operations and oversee staff to meet client needs
  • Provide supervision and make programmatic decisions as needed
  • Plan and implement community integration activities for residents
  • Maintain safe, clean living environments and respond to crises
  • Complete required documentation and report to Supervisors/Director

Responsibilities

Elwyn seeks a Residential Coordinator. This role'sprimary functions are to coordinate all aspects of the residence and ensure that client needs are met by actively assigning and overseeing residential living staff in their completion of duties and established unit routines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure adherence of staff to agency policy and procedures, union guidelines, and to standards, procedures and schedules established by the Program Supervisor and/or Unit Director
  • Provide ad hoc supervision and programmatic decision making
  • Plan and implement community integration plans for consumers
  • Exercise sound judgment and good decision making appropriate to assignment
  • Provide all appropriate documentation set forth by Director
  • Interface with families of residents other interested parties as needed
  • Ensure a safe and clean living environment for residents
  • Intervene in crisis situations and facilitate as appropriate
  • Ensure adequate staffing
  • Attend appropriate in-service as directed by supervisor
  • Report and provide feedback to Program Supervisors and Director regarding any issues affecting site operations, employee performance, individual care and programming
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), crisis intervention and medication administration using agency-trained protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum two years of post-secondary education
  • Two years of experience in the field of Intellectual Disabilities
  • Must be able to perform CPR using agency-trained protocols
  • Must have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, 3 years driving experience, and acceptable driving record
  • Demonstrated basic experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change in workload
  • Good organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve in a creative manner
  • Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties in an independent manner with little or no need to direct supervision
  • Must possess the ability to work in a variety of environments and settings with flexible hours
