Job summary

Houston Area Women's Center is seeking a Residential Cook Shift 3 to perform food preparation, cooking, serving, and cleaning tasks in a fast-paced kitchen serving clients at the Flagship Campus. The role requires delivering three meals daily, maintaining sanitation, and adhering to CACFP guidelines as part of a supportive nonprofit team.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, at least one year of food service experience, and a valid Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of food service experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with reliable transportation required.
• Maintain a Food Handling Certificate (FMC) valid in TX.

Responsibilities

• Prepare three meals per day for clients at the Flagship Campus during posted meal-times.
• Monitor food inventories and document according to donor guidelines.
• Ensure sanitation and safety compliance per all applicable standards.
• Prepare sack lunches for off-site clients and maintain proper food storage/ labeling.
