Job summary

Smith Douglas Homes is seeking a part-time quality assurance drafter to review construction plans, edit DWG files, and communicate redlines using AutoCAD Architecture and LotSpec software. You will support the Product Development team by maintaining drafting standards and ensuring on-time delivery.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of AutoCAD experience in residential construction and education related to architecture or construction.

Qualifications

• Experience reading construction plans and performing geometric calculations.
• Familiarity with residential construction techniques and building codes.
• Ability to maintain accurate drafting notes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review and redline construction plans for QA per company standards.
• Maintain checklists for lot-specific plans and master plans.
• Edit DWG files and communicate redlines to Drafters.
• Ensure quality control and timely completion per Product Development schedule.
• Support compiling digital packets for Drafters and coordinate with Sales documents.
