Job summary

Precision Plumbing and Heating Systems in Traverse City, MI is seeking an experienced Residential Construction Project Manager to oversee HVAC and plumbing projects for custom homes and new residential developments throughout Northwest Michigan.

You will manage schedules, coordinate field operations, maintain builder relationships, review plans, and ensure projects finish on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, with strong support from estimating and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Construction PM experience required.
• Residential new construction experience strongly preferred.
• HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, or related construction industry experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong scheduling, budgeting, and project coordination skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership abilities.
• Experience with ServiceTitan or similar construction management software preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential HVAC and plumbing construction projects from planning through completion.
• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with builders, homeowners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Review blueprints, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
• Monitor project budgets, labor utilization, job costs, and overall profitability.
• Conduct site visits to ensure safety, quality standards, and project milestones are achieved.
• Identify and resolve project challenges before they impact schedules or budgets.
• Collaborate with estimating, operations, and field teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between builders and installation teams.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
