Star Construction, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated, punctual, and courteous Assistant Construction Supervisor to join our residential construction and remodeling team. This full-time role offers growth opportunities into a supervisory position on a thriving home project.

Based in the Metro-Detroit area, we value hands-on leadership, safety, and reliable teamwork. You will help coordinate field operations, manage trades, and support project schedules while maintaining quality craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must provide at least one professional reference.
• Pass drug screening and background check.
• 1 year on-the-job experience in residential home construction labor or general labor.
• Ability to communicate with professional contractors and skilled trades.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment.
• OSHA Training - Strongly Preferred.
• Physically able to lift heavy loads.
• Highly disciplined and able to follow instructions.
• Strong problem resolution skills.
• Task and goal orientation.

Responsibilities

• Hands-On role with day to day field work.
• Maintains a clean job site both inside and on the exterior of homes: pick up all debris, tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
• Maintains a clean project site on a daily basis.
• Directly helps coordinate and control project field operations and trades.
• Helps Maintain Project Schedule, Quality, Safety and Security.
• Material handling and storage.
• Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
• In conjunction with owner, development of project master schedule and advising on issues that have impact on project schedule.
• Hands on labor as needed to complete the job and keep project moving forward.
