Job summary

MVSB is hiring a Residential Closing Specialist in Concord Foundry or Meredith SLB to join a team focused on accurate, timely mortgage closings. You will prepare disclosures, coordinate with borrowers, lenders, and vendors, and ensure files meet investor and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes meticulous document review, collaboration across departments, and delivering a customer-centered experience during a major financial milestone.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months of residential loan processing or mortgage closing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Comfort with standard desktop applications and loan-specific systems.
• Knowledge of banking or regulatory practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate initial closing disclosures within deadlines.
• Coordinate final residential mortgage closing documents and closing package delivery.
• Work with borrowers, Residential Loan Officers, closing agents, underwriters, appraisers, realtors, and vendors to collect final documentation.
• Confirm and schedule closing dates with all parties involved.
• Review closing agent data, verify invoices and fees, and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
• Identify and resolve closing-related discrepancies, including documenting any required cure amounts.
• Verify taxes are current and collect taxes due within required timeframes.
• Manage a closing pipeline by prioritizing time-sensitive disclosures and closing deadlines.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six to twelve months of residential loan processing, mortgage closing, loan operations, banking operations, or related training preferred
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and remain accurate in a high-volume environment
• Strong customer service skills with professional verbal and written communication
• Comfort using standard desktop applications and learning job-specific systems
• Knowledge of banking, residential lending, regulatory, or compliance practices preferred
