Job summary

Granite Recovery Centers in New Hampshire is seeking a Full Time Residential Counselor/Clinician to actively engage in treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The role includes screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning and individual, group and family therapy.

You will collaborate with the treatment team, ensure timely documentation, engage in discharge planning, and support clients toward recovery using evidence-based practices and maintaining

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work or related field.
• Maine licensure or licensure-eligible with willingness to pursue state licensure.
• 2–4 years direct experience in mental health and substance use disorders preferred.
• Maintain professional license in good standing.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Screen, intake, orientation, assessment, and treatment planning.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
• Crisis intervention and client education.
• Document progress notes within 24 hours of service.
• Complete discharge summaries within 24 hours of discharge.

Education

Master’s Degree in mental health counseling, social work or related field

Maine licensure or licensed eligible

2-4 years direct MH/substance use experience

Licensure in good standing
