SAFE HARBOR BOYS HOME INC in Jacksonville, FL seeks an energetic Teacher to join our Christian Ministry education team within a residential program for adolescent males. The role includes planning a homeschool-style curriculum aligned to Florida standards, supervising another instructor and a part-time aide, and fostering a safe, supportive learning environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree or higher with state teaching certification, has experience teaching 9-12 students, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with state teaching certification.
• Experience teaching at the 9-12 level preferred.
• Understanding of adolescent development and classroom management.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to adhere to them.

Responsabilités

• Plan each student’s homeschool-style curriculum to meet Florida standards.
• Familiarity with ACE, LifePac or other homeschool curricula preferable.
• Encourage development of students’ critical thinking skills.
• Prepare learning materials as needed.
• Take attendance and grade assignments; provide feedback.
• Document students’ learning progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and program staff to maintain a healthy, safe learning environment.
• Report and document behavioral incidents.
