N.E.W. B.O.C.E.S. seeks a Part-time Child Care Assistant to support resident students at our Wyoming campus.

The role involves assisting cottage managers, performing daily living tasks, supervising students, and helping with meals and activities in a safe environment. Responsibilities include administering first aid and medications under supervision, driving school vehicles when needed, and coordinating activities aligned with I.E.P.

Qualifications

• Basic medical response knowledge and ability to administer care under supervision.
• Ability to supervise students and observe IEP goals during activities.
• Good communication with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety guidelines to keep students in a safe environment.
• Administers first aid and prescribed medications under supervision.
• Assists with daily living tasks and meal preparation for students.
• Organizes indoor/outdoor activities aligned with IEP goals.
• Drives school vehicles for routes and field trips when needed.
• Maintains a clean, safe residential area and supports staff as needed.
• Communicates progress and concerns with teachers and case managers.
• Assists with routines and emergency procedures as required.
