Job summary

LRS in Michigan is seeking a Container Delivery Driver to safely deliver and remove waste or recycling carts and bins to customers. This role requires physical work, operating a truck, and adhering to all regulations.

The position reports to Residential Supervisor and offers hours that vary by route. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, keep accurate logs and orders, interact professionally with customers, and may assist in other projects.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job including repetitive lifting.
• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to drive a truck with a manual transmission.
• Overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Good written and verbal communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck and perform job duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
• Perform delivery and/or removal of waste or recycling carts and/or bins to customers
• Complete proper documentation on deliveries and removals
• Maintain and update work orders
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and completes logs
• Maintain and update drivers log sheets
• Professional interaction with internal and external customers
• May assist in other projects and areas, as needed
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by promoting good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
• Other duties, as assigned
