Chads Design Build in Madison, WI is seeking a residential carpenter with a few years of hands-on remodeling experience. You’ll work on kitchens, bathrooms, additions and whole-home renovations with a team that values quality workmanship and clear communication.

You’ll read plans, assist framing and finish carpentry, keep jobsites safe and organized, and learn from skilled carpenters and project managers. Personal hand tools and a valid driver’s license are required.

• A few years of hands-on carpentry, residential remodeling, or construction experience.
• Solid foundational carpentry skills with an interest in growing.
• Familiarity with construction plans and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry work on residential remodeling projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and whole-home renovations.
• Assist with framing, finish carpentry, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other remodeling work.
• Read and work from construction plans, drawings, and specifications. Work alongside experienced carpenters and project managers to keep projects moving.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites.
• Identify jobsite challenges and work with the team to find practical solutions.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners and coworkers.
• Continue developing your carpentry and remodeling skills through hands-on experience and training.
