Job summary

Woodland Builders is seeking an experienced Residential Carpenter in Hanover, MA to support remodeling and design-build projects with framing, finish carpentry, trim, and related tasks.

The role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to high standards on every jobsite. OSHA preferred but not required; valid driver's license and transportation are necessary.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of carpentry experience.
  • Knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings, plans, and measurements.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled carpentry work on residential remodeling and construction projects.
  • Complete framing, finish carpentry, trim installation, blocking, repairs, adjustments, and related tasks.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately.
  • Read and follow plans, project details, measurements, and jobsite instructions.
  • Support whole-home renovations, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, and other remodeling projects.
  • Complete punch list items and final detail work as needed.
  • Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks while staying aligned with the project team.
  • Coordinate with Lead Carpenters, Project Managers, subcontractors, and other team members as needed.
  • Identify jobsite issues and communicate them promptly to the appropriate team member.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow jobsite safety procedures and company standards.
  • Represent Woodland Builders professionally while working in clients' homes and on active jobsites.

About the Role

Woodland Builders is seeking an experienced hands-on Residential Carpenter to join our growing team.

The Carpenter will support residential remodeling and design-build projects by performing framing, finish carpentry, trim installation, punch list work, and other hands-on carpentry tasks. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining Woodland Builders' high standards on every jobsite.

  • Experience with framing, finish carpentry, trim installation, and general residential carpentry
  • Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings, plans, and measurements
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to communicate jobsite needs or challenges
  • Professional communication skills with team members, subcontractors, and homeowners
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • OSHA certification preferred, but not required
