Job summary

Root Center for Advanced Recovery is seeking a Residential Technician for the full-time third shift in New Britain, CT. You will provide daily living assistance and basic medical care as part of the patient care team, documenting vital signs and supporting residents' wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent with CNA, EMT or MA certification required.
• Associate degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• CPR/AED or BLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to residents; document vital signs.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including meals, medications, and hygiene.
• Monitor residents to ensure safety and adherence to program rules.
• Facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to promote engagement.
• Communicate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
