Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking a supervisor for its women’s residential program in Cedartown, GA. You will oversee Residential Care Technicians, ensure shift safety drills, and support clients toward recovery and employment goals.

You will coordinate training, assist with GED/resume/job placement, and help residents transition to stable housing. A 21+, HS diploma, and background check are required; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Gender-specific program requires female staff.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to deal with conflict, manage aggressive behavior, and use non-violent crisis intervention.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in behavioral health or substance use services preferred.
  • Criminal background check clearance, official transcripts, valid driver’s license/ID, drug screen, TB test, and eligible 7-year MVR.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises Residential Care Technicians during shifts and coordinates scheduling.
  • Assist in training of basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills.
  • Performs administrative, clerical and related support activities.
  • Observes and monitors client behavior and charts observations/incidents.
  • Provide guidance and encouragement to promote recovery.
  • Oversee self-administration of medication.
  • Assist in obtaining GEDs, resume building, job placement and may transport consumers to part-time jobs.
  • Mentor and assist in group and outing activities.
  • Knowledge of substance misuse and behavior management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Highland Rivers provides treatment and recovery services to individuals impacted by mental illness; substance use disorders and intellectual developmental disabilities.

Job Summary: The Highland Rivers Behavioral Health women’s program offers hope, love and assistance for women in recovery by removing substance abuse as a barrier to employment and living in the community. The Women’s program includes both residential and intensive outpatient services that address risk factors for relapse. Services support women in achieving abstinence, maintaining recovery, avoiding illegal activity and meeting parenting responsibilities. The program also provides supports to help women obtain employment and transition into safe and stable housing.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee self-administering of medication.
  • Assist in obtaining GED's, resume building, job placement and may transport consumers to and from part time jobs.
  • Serve as mentors and assist in group and outing activities.
  • Assisting in knowledge of substance misuse and of problems encountered by chemically dependent indivi duals; basic understanding of behavior management
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
