Job summary

Springbrook NY, Inc in Oneonta, NY is seeking an Assistant Residential Manager to support the Residential Manager in creating a safe, serene home. You will supervise staff, coordinate resident planning, and ensure accurate documentation and medication processes.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of experience with developmental disabilities, and flexibility. You will mentor new hires, attend trainings, and participate in on-call oversight.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associates preferred for some programs.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Must complete Springbrook New Manager Orientation and Leadership Training Program.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email applications; ability to learn other software as needed.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently and assist with heavier lifts.
• Must meet requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles.
• Must be able to perform all physical interventions.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise engagement and performance management of staff with Residential Manager.
• Coordinate daily resident planning through weekly meetings and trip coordination.
• Mentor new hires within first 6 months.
• Ensure accurate documentation each shift and use of shift reports for handoffs.
• Maintain active programming for residents, including daily planners and goals.
• Conduct medication audits, MAR checks, and data entry in the system.
• Provide direct care including medication administration as needed.
• Assist with medical appointments and attend required training and meetings.
