Job summary

Campus Apartments is seeking an Experienced Residential Building Engineer to oversee the physical and mechanical upkeep of the property. You will report to the General Manager and lead a maintenance team, coordinate capital improvements, schedule work, and ensure high tenant satisfaction.

Requirements include a high school diploma, HVAC certification, electrical certification, and at least two years of supervisory experience. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; HVAC certification required; Electrical certification preferred; Universal certification to be obtained within 1 year.
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain painting and cleaning of the property (internal and external).
• Perform maintenance work including mechanical tasks, code work, and fire alarm checks; manage capital improvement projects in-house.
• Schedule capital improvement projects and apartment work; set scope, get bids, evaluate contractors, obtain approvals.
• Repair appliances and boiler machinery; obtain quotes for replacements when needed; ensure monthly inspection reports are completed.
• Manage night and weekend maintenance staff; coordinate with General Manager on scheduling and budgeting.
• Ensure payroll for maintenance staff is submitted accurately and timely.
