Job description

Experienced Building Engineer

The Building Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer and is responsible for ensuring the physical and mechanical upkeep of the property. This includes operation, maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems such as HVAC, lighting, and safety equipment, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with codes.

The engineer also conducts routine inspections, troubleshoots issues, supervises contractors, manages energy efficiency, and maintains a safe, functional environment for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Additional education preferred
• HVAC certification
• Electrical certification (commercial and residential)
• Universal certification
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
