Job description

Grow your mental health career while working in our beautifully laid-out facility offering our clients all the comforts of home and more! If you have experience in mental health treatment or other residential environments and the ability to build rapport with adolescents, this position offers you some great opportunities.

We are hiring for the following shift:

  1. Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2pm - 10:30pm.

The starting pay rate is $22 per hour and will increase depending on your experience.

Additional compensation will be considered for the following:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or above.
  2. Mental health-related certifications.
  3. 3+ years of residential mental health experience.

In this position, you will provide rehabilitative support regarding the care of a co-occurring population, ensuring that clients and staff have what they need to follow the lead of the Clinical Director and Program Director. Each shift will include general daily activities (i.e., waking clients, providing hygiene baskets, monitoring from a distance, doing chores, ensuring meds are taken, etc.).

Additionally, you will:

  1. Provide line-of-sight supervision to clients.
  2. Complete house-related chores as assigned.
  3. Strive to increase professional growth and effectiveness by completing all required training.
  4. Provide crisis intervention services when authorized and necessary.
  5. Maintain active participation with the clients as required.
  6. Prepare and monitor medication administration then document all details in KIPU.
  7. Document clients’ nightly activities, unusual behavior, and pertinent information in KIPU.
  8. Maintain open communication with staff, therapist, and Program Director.
  9. Encourage clients and promote positive interactions among peers.
  10. Carry out other responsibilities as delegated.

You will bring:

  1. A high school diploma or GED.
  2. 1+ year of experience in mental health, residential or PHP/IOP, addiction recovery, or ABA.
  3. We may also consider candidates with college coursework in psychology, social science, or similar related fields.
  4. Experience with adolescents is a plus.
  5. A valid California driver's license and the ability to pass and maintain a clean driving record check (MVR).
  6. Ability to obtain clearance through Live Scan (background check) and complete a physical and TB test.
  7. First Aid and CPR certifications are required but can be earned through us prior to your start date if needed.
  8. A genuine desire to work with adolescents.
  9. Good judgment, a positive attitude, dependability, and confidentiality.
  10. Knowledge of regulations concerning mental health treatment is a plus.
  11. Working knowledge of mental health disorders and/or treatment procedures for such illnesses is highly desired.
  12. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  13. Basic computer skills, including Internet, email, and MS Word.
  14. Ability to sit, stand, lift, and move up to 25 pounds as needed.
