Job summary

Radix Recovery is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide non-clinical support to residents in a behavioral health setting. Under supervision of licensed staff, you’ll help implement treatment plans, monitor behavior, ensure safety, and support daily activities within a safe, therapeutic environment.

The role emphasizes documentation, HIPAA compliance, de-escalation, and collaboration with treatment teams to advance resident well-being and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Prefer a minimum of 1 year of experience in behavioral health, residential, or related care setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document resident behavior and interactions.
• Support residents in daily routines including hygiene, meals, medication adherence (non-administration), chores, and activities.
• Intervene in crises using de-escalation techniques and notify clinical staff of changes or safety concerns.
• Conduct routine room checks, facility rounds, and safety inspections.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and resident orientation to the facility.
