Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Residential Automated Driver to service routes with automated trucks, unload at disposal sites, and maintain curbside receptacles. You will work on varied routes in residential areas and must handle container movement, safety protocols, and customer interactions.

Ideal candidates have CDL class B, willingness to work nights or weekends, and knowledge of truck operations. The role requires physical effort and strong safety practices on-site in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Waste industry experience, a plus
• 1-2 years CDL truck driving preferred
• Experience operating automated equipment preferred
• General knowledge of truck mechanics

Responsibilities

• Operate automated trucks in a safe and compliant manner to provide trash or recycling removal services to customers by emptying trash/recycling carts into truck and hauling to disposal site
• Required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings as needed
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area
• Clean up waste spills and overflows
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body while following proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed
• Manually load bulk items as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned truck
• Operate various types of trucks as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
