Job summary

LIFESKILLS INC in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a Part-Time Residential Associate to support clients in a residential clinical treatment setting. You will participate in a multidisciplinary team, supervise clients, and document daily activities.

The role requires a high school diploma, and a minimum one year personal recovery experience is preferred. Some positions require driving between activities, with weekend/evening shifts possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year personal recovery experience (if applicable).
• Preference given to individuals with one year experience in substance use/co-occurring field and working knowledge of the 12-Step recovery model.
• Must pass a Criminal Record Check and Sexual Offender Registry check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and active auto insurance meeting state minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate client involvement in support groups and assess progress as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain active supervision of clients, including safety monitoring and behavior checks.
• Perform client record maintenance and document activities.
• Maintain stock of supplies and ensure program resources are available.
• Conduct psychoeducational classes using evidence-based materials.
• Explain and enforce program policies and procedures.
• Transport clients to appointments and events as assigned by supervisor.
• Document medication schedules and monitor vitals; conduct drug screens as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate client involvement in support groups and assess clients' progress on an individual basis as part of a multi-disciplined treatment team
• Maintain active supervision of clients, including monitoring for safety, room checks, and behavioral observations/check-ins
• Perform client record maintenance
• Maintain adequate stock of supplies
• Conduct psychoeducational classes, utilizing evidence-based materials
• Explain and enforce program policies/procedures
• Transport clients to outside support groups, appointments, and other events as assigned by their supervisor.
• Document client administered medication schedule and monitoring of vitals
• Perform client drug screens and searches of facility per program policies

• May require transporting clients to appointments, activities, or other program-related needs.
• Position is in a residential clinical treatment setting. Environment is fast-paced, client-focused, and may include exposure to individuals experiencing emotional distress, withdrawal symptoms, or behavioral instability. Requires ability to recognize such changes and respond appropriately, following crisis-prevention and de-escalation procedures.
• Role encouraging consistently upholding program rules and policies in a fair, respectful, and professional manner that provides corrective feedback and redirection to clients. Also requires ability to document and communicate incidents/concerns clearly to the clinical team.
• Involves building rapport with clients, while maintaining clear therapeutic and ethical boundaries.
• Position requires participate in ongoing training, supervision, and meetings to maintain skills and stay aligned with program expectations.
• Role involves protecting client privacy in accordance with HIPAA and organizational standards.
• Requires adapting to weekend and/or evening and holiday schedules, depending on client and program needs.
• Position involves utilizing 60% of work time in direct client contact activities.
